In part one of a three part video interview, Sanchez describes the responsibilities of a 1AC, building and breaking down the camera rig, setting the lens and aperture, slating, etc., and his own experiences and methods while working on the set, especially his focus pulling techniques and measuring and marking scenes. If you’re interested in learning about the work of an AC, this is a well-done and informative interview with lots of behind-the-scenes shooting tips and tricks.
