Here’s a new, handy little tool for managing preferences in all of the Final Cut Studio applications from the folks at Digital Rebellion. There are a number of similar tools out there for Final Cut Pro but this one can trash, backup and restore the preferences from all the applications within the suite. If nothing else it’s handy for being able to restore your saved window layouts when something bad happens. Often when FCP crashes it takes a few minutes to get things back to normal so this might help. What I’d love to see is a way to dump all of those preferences (especially for FCP) into one folder so you can quickly grab them and take them with you to another edit system. I think I’ll submit that in the feature request!
