The goal is to reach $20,000 and with 16 days to go it’s almost there. I think it’s a great use of the iPad for Kubrick fans and cinephiles alike. With Terrence Malick’s Tree of Life just opening at Cannes, I was reminded of the unique works that a reclusive, visual director like Kubrick gave to cinema. A book like Matthew Modine’s Full Metal Jacket is another look at some of that work. Maybe we’ll see something similar from one of Malick’s collaborators in the future. Now if we can get Stanley Kubrick’s Napoleon: The Greatest Movie Never Made on the iPad, that would make for some really good reading.
