Studiodaily.com is a new portal site dedicated to helping film and video pros evolve in their crafts and jobs through access to information on tools, workflow, technique and collaboration. You’ll find hands-on reviews, tutorials, interviews with creatives and step-by-step case studies in the beta version launched in mid-October.
Designed as a convenient front end to the Access Intelligence titles, Film & Video, Studio/monthly, HD/Studio and DI/Studio – the site provides news five days a week and will soon evolve to offer video, rich media tutorials, ecommerce, and web-exclusive content.

Matthew Armstrong brings over a decade of hands-on and editorial experience to Studio Daily. A graduate from NYU’s Tisch Film School, he worked as a location sound mixer and sound designer before moving on as a newspaper journalist. Combing his writing talents with his film experience he became a reporter for Shoot Magazine, covering the commercial production industry. He then became the Associate Editor at Post Magazine, analyzing all aspects of film & television postproduction. Leaving to pursue freelance writing, he continued to write for Post for several years before becoming the Senior Online Editor for Studio Daily and Studio/monthly.

Laurie Powell
Laurie Powell directs the operations of The Studio Group. She started with Access Intelligence in 2001 and has been involved in both sales and management on many of Access Intelligence’s products including Film & Video; Tape Disc Business and Studio/monthly (formally AV Video Multimedia Producer). Laurie has 20 years of publishing and internet experience. She started her career in 1987 at Miller Freeman and held various roles in both sales and management. Her last position at Miller Freeman was publisher of the industry leading commercial real estate magazine, Commercial Property News.
