Will Holowka, the Manfrotto product manager at Bogen Imaging, shared why the MPRO series is well-adapted for shooters, particularly those involved in ENG applications. He also emphasizes, what could be the key to successful camera support: practicality over flare. "When we make a weight limit, we're typically conservative. It's not just about how light [a piece of equipment] is. Performance comes first."
What does the future hold for Manfrotto? According to Will, "revamping sticks and further exploration on improving smaller heads." One can look forward to seeing more careful, practical innovation from this and other camera support companies, who don't need to be flashy to stand out.
