Final post work for U2’s "City of Blinding Lights" (directed by Partizan’s Alex & Martin) was completed at Los Angeles-based KromA, whose main task was conforming a DigiBeta master using the Avid Nitris DS.
"We prefer the paint, compositing and editing tools of the Nitris to other systems," says KromA visual effects supervisor Bert Yukich. "For this project, its ability to read OMF format came in handy. There were a number of repositions and scalings that were done by the editor and, from the OMF information, the Nitris could execute those automatically."
