Troika Design Group announces the addition of
Dale Everett to the company as Creative Director. Everett has been
launching and branding major television networks for almost 20 years,
garnering numerous Promax/BDA Awards and establishing the on-air look and
identity of many media channels. His first project since coming on board
with Troika was a visual effects-intensive promo he directed for HGTV that
aired in April.
"Dale has been involved with Troika in some capacity as a friend and
freelancer since the company launched-so his being officially brought on
board was the next logical step," comments Dan Pappalardo, Executive
Creative Director and Partner, Troika. "He was my creative director when I
was a designer at Pittard Sullivan, so you could say everything I learned
about creative directing, I learned from Dale. His ability to embrace and
articulate clients' needs is invaluable and comes from his vast industry
experience both as a hired gun and client-side at companies like E!
Entertainment. Dale will be a huge asset to our company."
Everett had previously worked in a freelance capacity as a Creative
Director and Supervising Producer with Troika, overseeing projects such as
a 13-episode Fine Living TV series titled "Around the World in 80 Homes,"
and an ABC Primetime branding effort. From 2003-2004, Everett served as
Creative Director and Supervising Producer for Philadelphia-based
production company Concrete Pictures, where he worked on projects ranging
from an ad campaign for Charter Communications to launching MoovHD, a
satellite HD network. From 2001-2003, Everett ran his own broadcast design
firm, Wall/Everett Creative Services, with entertainment clients that
included ABC and "Martha Stewart Living," among others.
He amassed a huge body of work during his seven-year tenure from 1994-2001
at legendary broadcast design powerhouse Pittard Sullivan, where he was
Senior Vice President and Creative Director managing multiple design teams,
supervising shoots, and acting as a liaison between client and creative
staff. But Everett's most high-profile project, and one that laid an
indelible stamp on the state of visual design in motion graphics and
network identities, was when he and Pappalardo created the black-and-white
branding package for ABC that ran from 1998-2002. This effort earned Troika
a spot in the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum as part of the 2003 Triennial
exhibition. Everett's experience has also taken him client-side, when he
was a Creative Director with E! Entertainment Television launching the
network during its first year.
Said Everett, "I have immense respect for everyone at Troika, and have
known the partners for over a decade. It's an exciting time to be at Troika
right now. In early fall, we'll be launching The CW, the first primetime
television network to emerge in 10 years."
