Freelance visual effects artist, who has served as the lead
compositor on the theatrical features Little Manhattan and HOOT, steps up to answer Five Questions.
1. What are you working on today?
I sold my soul to Alan Bell for the summer. Alan’s Los Angeles based visual effects company, Handmade Digital, is working on Firehouse Dog, The Beautiful Ordinary, Michael Clayton and For Your Consideration, in other words… I’m BUSY!
2. What have you found is the best tool or innovation that has come out in the last year?

The BOXX APEXX8. A free T-shirt ships with every system and once you’ve used an APEXX8, you’ll wish they’d sent underwear.
3. The project (film, television, commercial or music video) that most impressed you in the last year? Why?

An Inconvenient Truth. I had no idea I’d be on the edge of my seat watching a politician give a slideshow, but I was. Some of the bar charts will change your life.
4. The best or favorite project that you worked on in the past year? And why?

A little more than a year later and Little Manhattan is still my favorite project. Everyone I show it to is just blown away at how good it is and scratch their heads in disbelief that it never received a wide release.
5. Name the top 4 artists on your iPod?
Sadus
Castle Blak
The Mad Capsule Markets
The Black Sweden
