Today I'm working on Verizon trying to make something look really real.
2. What have you found is the best tool or innovation that has come out in the last year?
Since my office is on two floors and I only recently got into iChat, it has become one the most invaluable tools for my day-to-day. Not having to get on the phone for everything is such a relief. I actually bypass a lot of email since it can handle any file size. For such a small application it's really become instrumental to my business.
3. The project (film, television, commercial or music video) that most impressed you in the last year? Why?
The Honda spot with the choir vocalizing all the sound effects was my favorite. To me, that was that was the most impressive spot this year because it didn't require any graphics/animation – anything that I do – and it was incredibly powerful. In an industry that relies so strongly on post-production and design, this was strictly idea. It could've been shot really poorly and I wouldn't have cared, with that idea…you can't go wrong. Sold me completely.
4. The best or favorite project that you worked on in the past year? And why?
The most enjoyable thing was probably working on the Dr. Octagon Kool Keith PSA music video because I'm a big fan and I really wanted to meet him. To be a part of his history in some way was a very cool thing for me.
5. Name the top 4 artists on your iPod?
DJ Shadow – The Outsider
Iron Maiden – Iron Maiden
Love Jones – Here's to the Losers
Bad Brains – I Against I
The New York Citizens – The Truth About The New York Citizens
Crafts: VFX/Animation
Sections: Creativity
