Another year, another plug. One of the most recent additions to our
forest of connectors is HDMI, which allows many of the components in
hi-def and home theater applications to interact. Of course, if you
have looked behind your components lately, they tend to get squeezed
up against the back of cabinets or against the wall. What to do?
A company called High-Definition Audio & Video is coming to the
rescue. They offer plugs that convert DVI to HDMI, and bend 90
degrees up or down and rotate 180 degrees. All the better to keep
strain out of your precious cables. And their catalog lists all sorts
of other adaptors and wallplates to make your installations cleaner
and more professional looking.
