improve workflow efficiency for the artist. Among compositing tools, Fusion
offers the broadest selection of third party plug-in functionality. The
IRIDAS .Look file format provides a simple means for creating, storing, and
sharing color information as editable metadata. The .Look file format is
supported by a growing list of camera, hardware, and software vendors.
With the new Fusion integration, compositors will be able to import .Looks
and apply them as nodes within Fusion. "This takes the guess work out of
color," said IRIDAS COO Patrick Palmer. "Color certainty means a more
efficient workflow for the artist and for the production as a whole."
"The SpeedGrade .Look format is one of the few open file formats out there,"
said Isaac Guenard, Senior Product Manager at eyeon. "Interoperability
between applications is so important for real world production and that is
why we value what IRIDAS is doing."
