If you’re like me you often let your RSS feed subscriptions guide you to the news and information that you want to read. And often those feeds are for blogs. If you didn’t know, there are many parts of the Studio Daily website that also has RSS feeds. I found this out today when I was reading a Q & A article that I did with Mike DiBenedetto about the internet series Hometown Baghdad. The project is an “online web series about life in Baghdad. It tells the stories of three young Iraqis struggling to survive during the war.” The Q & A is full of good information about the production and especially the post-production. Of particular interest to editors is how they managed large amounts of footage shot by their crew on the other side of the globe. We also got a bit technical as well… something that I often feel is missing from a lot of articles about the post of a specific project. When you have a project like Hometown Baghdad, the editor is often the engineer as well so the importance of knowing the technical side of things can’t be underestimated. Enjoy the article!
