If you do any kind of video editing short of iMovie 08 then you are going to need a timecode calculator at some point. If you are using an Avid application then just look under your tools menu. If not then grab one of the 3 flavors from this link. You can get a dashboard widget, a freeware version or a more featured shareware version. All can come in handy when trying to calculate various timecode realated issues. The above link is a Mac OS based app … but if you must have one for the Windows world then there’s one of those too. Thanks to Self-Reliant Filmmaking for reminding me of that great little app and pointing to the Windows based one as well.
