Canon introduced their proprietary “24f” capture format, an alternative to Panasonic’s own 24p, but with similar features, when they released their lineup of professional HDV cameras, the XLH1, XHG1 and XHA1. Until now, there has been no way to properly edit 24f footage in Final Cut Pro, but the latest version of the NLE finally recognizes the format.
