ZAppLink 3 is a ZBrush plugin that allows you to seamlessly integrate your favorite image editing software into your ZBrush workflow. Call up your image editing package while in ZBrush, use it to modify the active ZBrush document or tool, and then go straight back into ZBrush.
This new version expands upon what ZAppLink was capable of under ZBrush 2 through several new features:
- Integrated editor selection so that you can easily set the application that ZBrush will link with.
- No need to use Projection Master. ZAppLink integrates with it automatically, making it a breeze to use Photoshop ® in your texturing and polypainting.
- Create ZBrush stencils in Photoshop ® via selection tools.
- Save and Load views of your model.
- Send your stored views to Photoshop ® all at once.
- Create a character strip with all views of your model.
It also includes new tools for integrating ZBrush's canvas layers and other Photoshop ® related layer systems.
- Create new ZBrush layers in Photoshop ®.
- Mask parts of the ZBrush canvas through Photoshop's layer mask features

ZAppLink can be downloaded from this page. Save the file to your system, then double-click to run it. You will be prompted for the path name to the ZBrush 3 folder. (If you installed ZBrush in the default location, there is no need to change this setting.) After that, simply click the Install button. ZAppLink will be available as a new button in the Document palette. There are also additional settings in the Document ZAppLink Properties menu.
