In a recent interview with Doug Jensen, B&H, the well-respected retailer based out of New York City gets a sneak preview of Sony’s upcoming XDCAM EX format camera, the PMW-EX1. The PMW-EX1 is the first handheld 3-chip 1/2″ CMOS-equipped camera slated to hit the market, and Jensen, a production industry veteran provides some insight into shooting with the camera, XDCAM EX workflow, and other relevant information to shooters and post-production folks alike.
At a little under $7K, the PMW-EX1 is worth keeping tabs on, with its full 1920×1080 resoltution capabilities, 24p shooting mode, a wide 14x Fujinon Pro HD lens, HD-SDI outputs, and more. Well worth a read!
