HD video has set the newest visual quality benchmarks across the board, but cameras capable of capturing HD format video come at a typically steep price. However, Aiptek is hoping to change things with their $300, 720p-capable GO-HD. Mind you, this will never be the HD camcorder to rule them all, but it is the first to offer such possibilities at a seemingly ridiculously low price.

Perhaps not so surprisingly, it didn’t cause much of a riot or signal a new HD revolution, but for $300, I guess you can’t expect that much. See what the team has to say about the GO-HD in their complete review. If anything, perhaps this camera might make for a easily pocketable HD-capable camera for behind the scenes shooting? Who knows.
