BBC Worldwide, the BBC’s commercial arm, recently announced its first-ever global clips deal with the Chinese state broadcaster, CCTV. The deal was brokered by BBC Motion Gallery, which will distribute clip footage to customers globally. Made up of mostly HD collections, the clips can be viewed online at the archive’s site. BBC Worldwide is currently working on a co-production with CCTV of the natural history series, Wild China, which will air in March 2008 to coincide with the Beijing Olympics. Pricing varies.
