Despite all the benefits of small camcorders such as the Panasonic DXV100 and HVX200, or the Sony HVR-V1U, there are still some issues of awkward handling when it comes to shooting handheld. The Camhandle is a $219 stabilizer device intended for these small cameras that mounts onto the base of a camcorder, acting as a lever.
David A. Saraceno reviews the device here, noting that it is not intended as a steadicam replacement, although it does improve overall steadiness of handheld shots. One thing I did notice but is not mentioned is that you lose control over focusing using the Camhandle, since your left hand supports the device. Anyway, check out the review for more details.
