New Camera Guards

One of the most trusted and well-known brands of protective carrying and storage solutions for professional video gear, Kata has demonstrated to videographers worldwide that it’s committed to developing advanced technologies to safeguard today’s highly-sensitive and ever-evolving array of video equipment, especially the next generation of high-definition camcorders. At NAB 2008, Kata continued to demonstrate such commitment with the launch of several new additions to its Professional Video Collection, including new, protective camcorder guards.
For custom tailored protection for their camcorders, videographers can turn to Kata’s new Camcorder Guard line. At NAB 2008, Kata will showcase its entire line of guards, including its latest model, the DVG-57, designed specifically for the Canon XH-A1 and Canon XH-G1. Kata’s Camcorder Guards boast a modern, stylish design and are manufactured from semi rigid closed cell foam and fabric lamination, thermo pressed to duplicate the exact camcorder design.
Easy-to-use and versatile, Kata’s Camcorder Guards fit securely, like a “glove,” and protect the camera body from a myriad of factors, including extreme elements such as dust and dirt, and prevent nicks, bumps and scratches. The Camcorder Guards feature silent action Auto-Recover zippers, transparent windows, dedicated cable connecting slots and quick access pull flaps to buttons and controls, allowing full access to all camera functions. Thanks to such a versatile design, once the guard is secured, shooters never need to take it off. The Camcorder Guards are also equipped with an adjustable “battery wrap” to accommodate all battery sizes and permit the use of wireless systems.
Additional models in the Kata Camcorder Guard family include the DVG-51 (Panasonic HVX200), the DVG-52 (Sony Z1 and FX1), the DVG-53 (Canon XL H1 and XL2), and the DVG-54 (JVC GY HD100, HD110 and HD200).
