Academy Award Winner Appointed President, Visual Effects Worldwide
announced that Michael L. Fink has been appointed President, Visual Effects
Worldwide and will be operating out of the Frantic Films VFX facility
located in Hollywood, CA. In his new role, Fink will be serving as Senior
Visual Effects Supervisor for projects awarded to Frantic Films VFX, and
will be overseeing the integration of visual effects production for all of
the Prime Focus Group VFX facilities across North America, India and the
U.K, including London based VFX facility Machine.
Supervisor on “The Golden Compass” with an Academy Award ®, a BAFTA award,
and a VES nomination. He is a veteran visual effects supervisor with dozens
of credits to his name, including “Braveheart,” “X2” and “X-Men.” His
award-winning career spans over three decades with a BAFTA nomination for
“War Games” in 1983, four nominations for the Saturn award from the Academy
of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, and BAFTA and Academy Award
nominations for “Batman Returns” in 1993.

that can handle VFX projects of any scale, from beginning to end.”
