Engadget noticed that Jim Jannard posted an updated picture of what the RED Scarlet might look like when it is released. It was posted in a thread over at scarletuser.com. Scanning through the thread there are a few bits of information like the focus ring is on the lens in front and an aperture and zoom ring located on the back of the camera.
It looks a bit more finished that what RED was showing at NAB 2008:
It looks more like a computer rendering now that an piece of milled metal. Jannard says in a post that “this is just a render… not the final design or paint finish” so it all might change. Now if we could only get a release date …
