New Mattebox, Follow Focus and Baseplate
The MMB-1 is the first mattebox from ARRI designed for smaller-sized HD camera bodies. It is a side-loaded 4.565-inch two-stage design with the rear stage fully rotatable and lockable. It can be supported by 15mm Light Weight Support (LWS) rods or clamped directly onto the camera lens. The optional rear bellows retainer holds a 4.5-inch round filter.
Follow Focus MFF-1
The MFF-1 is the newest lightweight, single-sided follow focus from ARRI. It is fully adjustable, which allows the unit to be mounted to any camera system with 15mm LWS support rods. It can also be supported from 15mm or 19mm bridgeplates using standard adapters. The unit incorporates a plunger mechanism that engages adjustable, hard stops for lenses with infinite rotation. By reversing the gearing, the unit can operate Nikon lenses in the standard rotational direction without further adjustment. The product is fully compatible with the ARRI line of standard follow-focus accessories.
Baseplate MBP-1
The MBP-1 is ARRI’s first baseplate designed especially for handheld HD camcorders with smaller profiles. It incorporates a vertical and horizontal adjustable centering mechanism to compensate for variations in camera base to optical axis measurements. The unit is based upon the 15mm LWS standard and can be fitted to the Sony EX-1, EX-3 and Panasonic HVX200 cameras.
The Mattebox MMB-1, Follow Focus MFF-1 and Baseplate MBP-1 can be purchased separately or as a complete set to fully outfit your camera. The series is sold as ARRI part # 337175 with a USA list price of $3,700.
