New support for live H.264 streaming via the Adobe Flash family of products brings Digital Rapids' acclaimed AVC encoding quality to live web audiences
The new support for live streaming through Adobe Flash Media Server in the H.264 compression format continues Digital Rapids’ rich history of providing robust, premium encoding and streaming capabilities for viewing experiences powered by Adobe Flash technology. Media can be encoded, streamed and archived in the H.264 format in parallel with a variety of other delivery formats (including VP6, VC-1 and MPEG-2), enabling the broadest possible audience reach to multiple platforms and devices.
“Digital Rapids offers a full range of professional solutions enabling both live and on-demand media experiences,” said Laurel Reitman, senior product manager for Flash Media Solution Services at Adobe. “With the addition of support for live H.264 streaming through Flash Media Server to Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR applications, Digital Rapids’ encoding, transcoding and streaming solutions are ideal complements for helping leading studios, broadcast networks and service providers bring compelling content to the web, the desktop and mobile devices using Adobe Flash technology.”
“We’re pleased to be working with Adobe to support H.264 streaming through Adobe Flash Media Server to experiences based on Flash technology,” said Brian Stevenson, Director of Product Management at Digital Rapids. “StreamZ Live, StreamZ and StreamZHD are ideal solutions for content providers who want a premium H.264 encoding and streaming platform to reach web audiences at the highest possible quality.”
