Compact 1RU Mixer is Designed for Use in Flypacks
FOR-A is introducing its first portable HD/SD mixer next month at the Broadcast Video Expo in London. The HVS-300HS is a 1RU 1ME mixer designed for flypacks and fitted with a range of inputs for simultaneous HD and SD operation.
The mixer is designed to cut peripheral requirements by including important features on board. The unit has a 16-split multiviewer, supporting four, 10 or 16 split views. It can be configured with from four to 12 inputs, each with a frame synchronizer and re-sizing engine, to accept a mix of SD and HD feeds. Additional IO options include SDI and HD SDI, DVI-D, HD and SD RGB, component, and PAL/NTSC composite.
Other features include two channels of still store, picture-in-picture engines, an assortment of 2D and 3D DVE transitions, more than 100 wipe patterns, and an upstream keyer and DSK with 2D DVE and chroma key. The system can be operated via Windows PC software, a front control panel (HVS-30FP), or the full control panel. The price starts at $12,900 and increases depending on the options required.
