20-Year Industry Veteran Comes on Board as Senior Vice President / COO, Visual Effects Worldwide for Prime Focus Group

Frantic Films VFX, a division of Prime
Focus Group, has announced that industry veteran Terry Clotiaux has joined
the company as Senior Vice President / COO, Visual Effects Worldwide for
Prime Focus Group, and Senior Executive Producer for North America.
Clotiaux will be based out of Frantic's Hollywood facility, and has been
tasked with building out the company's international VFX operation and
establishing its LA, Winnipeg and Vancouver offices as the North American
front-end for Prime Focus Group's network of global facilities, which spans
across North America, India and the U.K.
Said Michael Fink, CEO, Frantic Films VFX, “We are absolutely delighted
that Terry is joining us at Frantic Films VFX and Prime Focus, Ltd. Terry
has produced visual effects for some of the largest VFX films ever made,
and understands the business like no one else I’ve met. He’s just begun at
Frantic, yet his presence is already making a huge difference in our
operations. I’m looking forward to having fun and working hard with Terry
while we grow Frantic Films VFX and Prime Focus Visual Effects.”

Clotiaux is a 20-year industry veteran who joins Frantic after serving as
executive producer at Digital Domain, where he worked on “G.I. Joe: Rise of
Cobra,” “Speed Racer,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” and “The
Golden Compass,” and was instrumental in bringing on board “2012” with
director Roland Emmerich. Previous to Digital Domain, Clotiaux was a senior
visual effects producer at Sony Pictures Imageworks overseeing work on
“Spider-Man 3.” Additionally, he holds VFX producing credits on such films
as “Alexander,” “The Matrix Reloaded,” “The Matrix Revolutions” and
“Independence Day,” which took home the Academy Award for Outstanding VFX
in 1997.

Clotiaux also spent six years with The Chandler Group, where he became
executive producer on projects such as “Batman Returns,” “Cabin Boy,”
“Batman Forever,” and numerous commercial and trailer assignments, and
previous to that, worked with Doug Trumbull at Showscan Company. Clotiaux
began his career in 1976, where he spent 10 years as a producer with TV
production company Robert Guenette Productions.

“What excites me about joining Frantic Films VFX and Prime Focus Group is
how these companies are drawing on their combined assets and relationships
in North America, India and the UK and bringing that knowledge, technology
and experience to both the western film market and the exploding film
industry in Bollywood,” shared Terry Clotiaux, Senior Vice President / COO,
Visual Effects Worldwide for Prime Focus Group. “I was also very attracted
to Frantic Films VFX for its legacy of providing complex effects quickly
and cost efficiently, and my goal is to build upon that history by ushering
in even more complicated work and delivering higher level results-all while
maintaining the boutique qualities that make Frantic special as both a
creative vendor and a place to work.”
