Ahh the power of Twitter! I don’t talk much about PC based software on the Useful Tools For Editors series since all my world is Mac based. But DylanReeve twittered over a link to a little application that he has written for PC based Avids called Templater. It is a little helper app to set up tamplates for Avid projects. Dylan says “you can setup a project with all the bins, folder and sequences that you want, and then create new project based on that. It’s pretty simplistic and unrefined but it seems to do the job.” This could be a handy little tool if you do the same type of project on a regular basis or always seem to start and edit with the same bins. I just wish this was on the Mac too!
