New Versions and New Product Launch Raise Creative Bar and Help to Improve

Autodesk, Inc., will participate in the
National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, April 18-23,
2009. At NAB, Autodesk expects to unveil a new product and showcase its
latest visual effects, finishing, color grading and animation solutions for
film, television and commercial post-production.
Autodesk Product Showcase
At the Autodesk booth SL2120, NAB attendees can see demonstrations
featuring the following products:

o Autodesk’s new product designed to help boost productivity, expand
capacity and develop talent
o 2010 versions of Autodesk Flame, Autodesk Flint and Autodesk Inferno
software for visual effects
o Autodesk Smoke 2010 software for finishing
o Autodesk Lustre 2009 Extension 1 software for digital color grading
o Autodesk 3ds Max 2010 software for 3D modeling, animation and rendering
o Autodesk Maya 2009 software for 3D modeling, animation, visual effects
and rendering
o Autodesk Softimage 7.5 software for 3D modeling, animation, visual
effects and rendering
o Autodesk Mudbox 2009 software for digital sculpting
o Autodesk Toxik 2009 software for procedural compositing

Show attendees are also invited to view live workflow demonstrations
focusing on the creation, sharing and re-use of assets across the entire

Autodesk Customer Showcase
Many of the film and television industry’s top digital artists will
demonstrate their stunning work at the Main Stage Theater in the Autodesk
booth. Scheduled presentations include:
o Brian Mulligan, senior editor, WTHR TV Indianapolis, showcasing how it
uses Smoke to create on-air promotions and commercials in a broadcast
environment
o Steve Mottershead, director/Flame artist, Park Pictures/Artjail,
demonstrating use of Flame in the creation of several television
commercials, including Audi R8 “Tunnel,” Levi’s “Runaway Jeans” and Nissan
“Grown Up”
o Scott Malkie, post-production supervisor, The Martin Agency, showing
several internal projects completed at its facility and also highlighting
the broadcast community in Richmond, Va., and the ease with which
facilities share data
o David Cole, senior digital colorist, LaserPacific Media Corporation,
presenting his work with Lustre on the film comedy “Zack and Miri Make a
Porno”
o Kirk Balden, Flame artist/visual effects supervisor, Smoke & Mirrors NY,
demonstrating the facility’s use of Autodesk software for commercial
production

Japanese and Spanish Demonstrations: Tuesday, April 21, 2009
The international presence at NAB continues to grow. In recognition of the
global audience at the show, Autodesk will present demonstrations in
Japanese and Spanish at the Main Stage Theater in the Autodesk booth SL2120
on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. The Japanese demonstration will be from 4
p.m.-5 p.m. Pacific time, followed by the Spanish language demonstration
from 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Pacific time.
