Digital Intermediate (DI) Colorist Scott Gregory, whose credits include such films as Twilight, Lakeview Terrace, Disturbia and The Bucket List, has joined Ascent Media’s Company 3. Gregory will be based out of Company 3’s facility on Arizona Avenue in Santa Monica, where he will focus exclusively on DI work for feature films. His first project will be The Mad Cow, an independent feature from directors Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain.
“Scott is an exceptional artist and a true professional as evidenced by his body of work and the strong relationships he has formed with many top directors and DPs,” said Company 3 President Stefan Sonnenfeld. “He is a great addition to our team.”

Gregory is one of the industry’s most experienced DI colorists, with more than two dozen films to his credit. He spent the past year at PostWorks, Los Angeles, where he performed final color grading for The Secret Life of Bees, Stepfather and Twilight. Previously, he spent four years at Technicolor Digital Intermediates, where his credits included The Love Guru, When a Stanger Calls and Dan in Real Life. He collaborated with Director Rob Marshall and Cinematographer Dionne Beebe on Memoirs of a Geisha, for which Beebe earned the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, as well as ASC and BSC awards.

Gregory began his career with Telepictures Productions and later became a colorist at Anderson Video, where he worked for more than a decade. At Anderson, he performed final color correction for series television and mastered feature films for broadcast and home video release. His background also includes a stint with Four Media Company (now Ascent Media), where he gained his first experience in the digital intermediate process.

In discussing his move to Company 3, Gregory said that he is excited by the prospect of working with Sonnenfeld, Stephan Nakamura, Siggy Ferstl and other colorists at Company 3. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that team,” he said. “Company 3 is a premiere house.”
