1. What are you working on today?
Right now we’re organizing everything it takes to host a successful party. Q Department were nice enough to put us up as the next ‘DJs’ at their monthly ‘Director Series’ shindig, and we’re doing our best to make sure the night doesn’t suck. It’s not just going to be us playing obscure German polka mash-ups [again], but we’ve planned some sneaky visuals that might make the night a little more unique. A little nervous, but we’re looking forward to it.

2. What have you found is the best tool or innovation that has come out in the last year?
You can’t look past iPhone apps… they truly have raised the bar for things you can do to waste time on the F train. Games like Zombie Attack! and Papi Jump are ridiculously addictive, and have driven a wedge into couple’s ‘conversation time’ the world over.

3. The project (film, television, commercial or music video) that most impressed you in the last year? Why?

The trailer for Where The Wild Things Are was pretty damn impressive. It was definitely a book from our childhood that we distinctly remember scaring the crap outta us… but in a good way. After all the alleged issues the film has had after shooting wrapped in Australia a good while ago, the footage looks special, the creatures look amazing and the overall tone is incredibly credible! Great choice of music too. Here’s hoping it’s everyone’s next favorite film.

4. The best or favorite project that you worked on in the past year? And why?
Nissan ‘Morning Light’ was probably the most rewarding commercial we’ve done for a while. A very smooth creative process all round, working on a nice little story with some great Canadian folks. For us it was a perfect blend of simple storytelling and the use of nice subtle visual FX. Who knew getting no sleep out in the forest in the middle of the night could be such fun.

5. Name the top 4 artists on your iPod?

Top 4? So only two each?? That’s like singling out your favorite child! Okay, we’ll go to our iTunes and give you the top two ‘Most Played’ artists from each of us… [please don’t be embarrassing]… Jonathan has Talib Kweli and Death Cab, and Josh has Thomas Newman and Explosions In The Sky. There, that was reasonably harmless.
