A small software company called Singular Software has recently released an amazing tool for Final Cut Pro called PluralEyes. It’s amazing in that it uses the audio tracks from a multicamera shoot to automatically sync your multicam footage. It looks to be as simple as dropping your different angles on the timeline and clicking a button … that according to the demonstration video on the Singular Software website. I saw a demo of the software in action at NAB and it looks like it works well. I plan to test it out myself very soon. At $149 it might be a little bit pricey for the smallest of productions but that price is 100% worth it if you are doing real multicam work and editing shoots without jam synced timecode. Oh how I wish I would have had this thing years ago!
