Rebecca Dreyfus is an award-winning documentary and commercial director with a knack for mixing poignant truths with dramatic, edge-of-your-seat suspense. After graduating from the SUNY Purchase Film Conservatory in New York, the director went to Europe and Russia to shoot her first feature-length documentary, “Bye-Bye Babushka” in 1997. In 2006, she directed the doc “Stolen,” which dissects the mystery of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist. “Stolen” became an art house sensation, opened theatrically nationwide and was included in the Emmy Award-winning PBS Series, “Independent Lens.” Most recently, Dreyfus helmed the documentary, “Self-Portrait with Cows Going Home and Other Works: A Portrait of Sylvia Plachy.” The film premiered at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival and was awarded the Grand Jury Prize for best documentary at the 2008 Seattle International Film Festival. In the ad world, Dreyfus recently directed spots for Athena Health, the USA Networks’ “Character Project” and a series of web films for Avon starring Salma Hayek.
Rey Carlson has in various lives been a journalist, photographer, film student, cinematographer, and then finally a director. Coming to HELLO! & CO from Epoch Films and his own Australia-based Playbig Film, Carlson has been recognized by Cannes Lions and the Melbourne The Art Directors Club to name a few. Carson’s visual and subtle comedic style is best showcased in spots for Woolworths, Canon, Mercedes and Greenpeace.

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, Daniel Bà¶rjesson studied film in the States before going back to Stockholm to open the music video division of a respected commercial production company. Three years of directing music videos lead to his first spot for Fanta, which went on to win awards across Europe. He’s since directed noted campaigns for T-Mobile, Hugo BOSS and Diet Coke, among others.

The directing and design collective, Syndrome (James Larese, Micah Hancock and Mars Sandoval), has directed music videos for nearly every major rap, hip-hop and soul artists on the planet including Kanye West, P. Diddy, Erykah Badu, 50-Cent, The Black Eyed Peas and John Legend. Their most recent release is the highly anticipated and controversial 30-second spot and music video for Eminem’s new single, “3am .” Syndrome has also directed and designed major campaigns for NBC, New Balance, AT&T, Heineken and Boost to name a few. Spotlighted in Shoot Magazine’s 2008 New Director Showcase, the LA-based collective have been collaborating as visual artists for almost a decade; their primary philosophy is that “anything with a surface can be created on: from canvas, computer, projection, T.V. and film.” With a downtown LA penthouse studio, Syndrome can create projects from conception to completion.

PR Brown is an accomplished director, designer and photographer with countless spots, music videos, webisodes, movie poster, book and album cover designs to his name. Brown’s artful touch can be seen on album covers for the Foo Fighters, Jane’s Addiction and Marilyn Manson to name a few, as well as the book cover for Michael Moore’s Dude, Where’s My Country? He has directed music videos for Prince, Smashing Pumpkins, Daughtry, Seal and Mà¶tley Crà¼e, among many others, and has been nominated or won multiple MTV and MVPA awards. Recently, the director helmed a mobile web series starring Michael Madsen and George Hamilton called “Coma,” a 5-spot Ford campaign for American Idol, and the music video for Jack White and Alicia Keys’ “Another Way to Die,” which received a Grammy ® nomination for Best Short Form Music Video.

Mehdi Norowzian has had a varied and enviable career in the director’s chair. After graduating the Hornsey School of Art with a BA in fine art, and later the Royal College of Art in London with an MA in film studies, Norowzian went on to direct both short films and spots. He found success in both disciplines with an Academy-Award ® nomination for his short, “Killing Joe,” and, after directing several spots for brands like Stella Artois and Adidas, a placement in D&AD’s list of the world’s 32 Best Commercial Directors. In the feature world, Norowzian directed Joseph Fiennes, Dennis Hopper, Sam Shepard and Elisabeth Shue in the critically acclaimed drama, “Leo.” His hugely successful Joy Films, with locales across the globe including Beirut and London (Joy@RSA), now partners with LA-based HELLO! & CO to form Joy@HELLO! Norowzian was also previously represented by Chelsea Pictures and RSA US.

In other HELLO! & CO news, Aaron Platt was selected in Shoot Magazine’s 2009 New Directors Showcase. Platt’s music video for The Glitterati’s “Keep Me Up All Night ” earned him a place on this year’s list.

Additionally, HELLO! & CO has brought on industry vet Alexandra Chamberlain as their new Head of Production. Chamberlain has served as either a bidder, EP or Head of Production at RSA, Anonymous, Biscuit, Smuggler, Coppos Films, The Directors Bureau, Furlined, MJZ and Go Film.
