New Outpost will Provide Demos, Training and Support for Company's Enhanced North American Presence

Cinegy, a Munich-based developer of world-leading workflow, asset management and OEM solutions for the broadcast and post production industries, has opened an office in Los Angeles to provide high-level product demonstrations, advanced training and support for its growing network of resellers and systems integrators in North America. Additionally, Cinegy has forged new reseller agreements with two leading Southern California-based systems integrators, Creative Media Partners, Burbank, and International Broadcast Consultants, Glendale.
Cinegy, whose groundbreaking solutions are widely used by broadcasters, post production facilities, reality TV producers and visual effects houses in Europe, has recently experienced a spike in interest from North America companies seeking to make the transition to file-based workflows. The company’s new Los Angeles office is part of Cinegy’s enhanced commitment to the North American market and determination to replicate its European success there.

“Broadcasters and post houses across the United States and elsewhere in North America are intrigued by what Cinegy uniquely has to offer,” said Cinegy North American Product Evangelist Martin Libich. “While other developers may provide a piece of the puzzle, only Cinegy offers a solution that is complete, comprehensive and proven in real-world environments.”

Cinegy’s Los Angeles office will feature a complete working model of Cinegy Workflow, the company’s award-winning digital asset management solution. Cinegy Workflow is a modular solution that can be used to manage an entire production workflow for a broadcast television or post production environment, including such aspects as ingest, logging, editorial, post production, playout and archiving. Cinegy Workflow was recently selected by the BBC to serve as the digital asset management component of its Digital Media Initiative (DMI).

The office will also provide intensive training for technicians and systems integrators associated with Cinegy resellers and other partners. Additionally, the office will offer marketing and sales support to resellers.

New Cinegy reseller Creative Media Partners provides systems design and integration services to the post production industry. It is also authorized reseller for Avid, Apple and many other leading technology companies.

Alex Slaten, CMP’s Director of Sales, said the Cinegy Workflow provides a seamless solution to asset management that has previously been lacking. “It fills the gap,” he said. “Cinegy Workflow can be used to manage editorial, data tracking, transcoding and playback. It does it all and it does it all well. Because the system is modular, companies can build a complete system or integrate aspects of it into their existing workflow to maximize their investments. It’s the glue that ties everything together.”

International Broadcast Consultants provides system design, integration, training and support services both in the United States and worldwide.

“We have been closely monitoring the development of Cinegy Workflow for the past three years,” said IBC President Irfant Merchant. “It is the most advanced workflow solution available. We are extremely impressed with the flexibility of the software, especially such features as its search engine and data systems.”
