The 32GB PRO-HG Duo HX card is designed to deliver optimal read and write speeds for a growing number of products that require high-bandwidth memory in order to capture and store large data files. The card supports many of the most advanced features available on Sony’s newest Handycam ® camcorders and alpha digital SLR and Cybershot ® cameras, including burst photography, sweep panorama technology, RAW data files and full HD (1920 x 1080) video recording.
“DSLR cameras and HD camcorders are capturing larger amounts of high-resolution data, and many consumers need a high-end solution that keeps pace with the growing demand for higher capacity storage and faster transfer speed,” said Shane Higby, director of the consumer media business at Sony Electronics. “Whether you’re shooting full high-definition video or continuously shooting up to 5 frames per second on a digital SLR camera, the HX series media delivers the highest level of performance available in our Memory Stick line up.”
Unlike competitive products, the HX series from Sony includes a USB adaptor, which can be used to transfer data from any one of dozens of Memory Stick compatible devices such as the PSP, PLAYSTATION ®3, digital photo frames, Sony Reader and more to virtually any PC that is outfitted with a USB interface.
PRO Duo Memory Stick
Sony’s new 32GB PRO Duo doubles capacity over the next largest capacity PRO Duo card, giving consumers more options. Using a 32GB card, consumers can capture nearly 6,500 10-megapixel images or nearly 7.5 hours of HD video (1280 x 720 at 30 fps) on Sony’s new W-series Cybershot (DSC-W290) cameras (video length varies by model) with a single memory card.
