Combining the D-21 RAW Material with Other Data and Video Formats Enables Users to Freely Design Their Workflows

At IBC 2009 DVS expands CLIPSTER’s fields of application in the areas of post production, film and broadcast. DVS’s flagship product now also supports real-time workflows with “.Ari” RAW data material originating from the ARRIFLEX D-21. The CLIPSTER DI workstation now offers real-time decoding and debayering of the ARRIRAW data in full 2K quality.
ARRIRAW material from the D-21 camera can be directly displayed, edited and played out in CLIPSTER’s timeline. CLIPSTER’s new integrated hardware allows for real-time decoding of the D-21 data. The film data can be edited immediately using CLIPSTER’s easy-to-use conforming tool.

The third-generation CLIPSTER adds real-time processes like scaling, primary color correction, cropping and 3D LUT color management to the processing of ARRIFLEX D-21 RAW material, thus enabling an efficient DI workflow with ARRIRAW content. Moreover, high-quality digital deliverables originating from the ARRIRAW data are created in high-speed. The ARRIFLEX D-21 and CLIPSTER combined are an incredibly flexible data handling workflow.
