FOR-A, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and video production industry, will demonstrate a number of products, including the HVS-300HS HD/SD Portable Video Switcher, at the Worship Facilities Conference and Expo (WFX) 2009, which runs Oct. 27-30 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C. (Booth #1524).
“Since its debut earlier this year, the affordable HVS-300HS switcher has become known for its cost-effective small footprint and big performance in houses of worship,” said Thomas Yuhas, National Sales Director, FOR-A Corporation of America. “It’s packed with great features and enables users to mix SD and HD sources simultaneously.”

With its compact design, the 1 M/E HVS-300HS switcher has become a popular choice for houses of worship that are making the transition from SD to HD productions. It features a frame synchronizing and resizing engine on every input, which allows users to mix various SD and HD sources in the same production. Other features include a built-in 16-split multi viewer, 2D and 3D DVE transitions, and more than 100 wipe patterns. The compact switcher and 1RU main unit make it an ideal choice for use in churches with limited space for video production equipment.

Other featured products at the show include FOR-A’s MV-1610HS Multi Display Processor and FVW-500HS Video Writer. The MV-1610HS multi viewer is designed to support facilities that need to display a variety of video formats and frame rates simultaneously, with support for HD-SDI, SD-SDI and analog composite signals. Optional digital or analog RGB computer inputs are also available. Its DVI output supports up to WUXGA (1900×1200) resolution and is well-suited for larger displays. The multi viewer includes a software-based layout editor, so users can change size and position for all 16 inputs. Other features include title/tally display for each source, plus audio level and clock display.

The FVW-500HS Video Writer is a cost effective telestrator that is used in educational facilities and other applications. It features pre-programmed graphic shapes for ease of use, but can also process straight line and freehand drawings through its touch-screen monitor interface. The FVW-500HS creates an array of lines that vary in color, edge width and thickness. Drawn objects can be moved, copied or deleted as needed during demonstrations, plus users can import their own icons, animations and video clips.
