If you’re not doing anything on Friday, February 25 at 2:00 pm eastern time then you might want to tune in to the live web chat that Avid is hosting with part of the Avatar editorial team. It’s a cool event as viewers will be able to ask questions of the participants after the discussion. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like James Cameron himself will be in attendance even though he was a credited editor and is nominated for an Academy Award for best editing. He’s probably got other commitments. Avatar is such a complex film many of us could probably ask questions for hours.
Join Avid for an interactive Web chat with the editorial team behind Avatar this Friday at 11am PT at http://www.avid.com/avatar.  Avid will lead an open discussion with co-editor Stephen Rivkin and assistant editor Jason Gaudio. The discussion will be followed by a “live†Q&A with virtual attendees.
Attendees will be able to pose questions to the editors, gain unique insight into the creative process behind the film, learn about emerging and innovative production techniques like 3D filmmaking and walk away with an insider’s view of where the industry is headed. See you there!!
