At NAB, DVS will highlight its current product portfolio for post production and broadcast

At this year ’'s NAB, from April 15 to 20, DVS will exhibit an extensive line of cutting-edge solutions for professional post production and broadcast. Visitors to DVS booth SL3305 will see, firsthand, the newest additions to the DVS family: Fuze, Atomix, and SpycerBox Ultra, and the significant advancements that have been made to CLIPSTER and VENICE.
CLIPSTER, DVS’ ’s flagship, is now equipped with an even more robust feature set. Post production houses will substantially benefit from CLIPSTER ’s latest DCI capabilities: In addition to creating 3D Digital Cinema Packages in real-time, the DI workstation now provides 4K hardware accelerated DCI Mastering and 3D subtitling. A full set of real-time stereoscopic workflows enables users to effortlessly handle 3D material. CLIPSTER ’s digital acquisition package eliminates the burden of working with multiple RAW data formats: The award-winning DI workstation lets users combine RAW data from RED, ARRI D-20 and D-21 and Phantom cameras on a single timeline and decodes, demosaics and supports all formats in real-time. CLIPSTER now also supports material originating from Silicon Imaging ’’s SI-2K camera.

Just one year after its launch, DVS’ ’s multi-channel video server VENICE is enhanced with new features. VENICE enables real-time capture and play-out of compressed formats, and is equipped with a vast feature set that includes four independent video channels, playlists, intelligent global presets and native support for Panasonic ’’s AVC-Intra. With its extensive playlist support, the video server even handles VDCP. At NAB 2010, DVS presents VENICE’ ’s new transcoding mode, its extended support of compressed formats, and numerous workflow improvements. With VENICE, the transition to tapeless broadcast and post workflows has never been easier.

Kicking-off a new era in DCI Mastering, DVS introduces Fuze for Digital Cinema file-based delivery, including Digital Cinema Packages. The powerful solution is designed to meet the ever-growing demands of professional post production: Fuze handles stereoscopic 3D content just as easily as if it was 2D, creates and encrypts DCPs in high-speed, and provides subtitling up to 2K. Fuze supplies users with a flexible cinema reel editing tool and enables scaling, color space conversion, and encoding into compressed formats.

For the first time at NAB, DVS showcases SpycerBox Ultra. The ultra fast and reliable storage solution can be tailored to meet each client ’s specific workflow requirements. Configured as a NAS or ‘SAN in a Box ’ solution, SpycerBox Ultra is offered with the choice of high performance SAS or high capacity SATA drives, with 14.4 TB and up to 48 TB of storage, respectively. Moreover, the core of DVS’ ’s video server VENICE is also available as a separate module which can be integrated directly into SpycerBox to have a powerful capture and play-out storage solution.

With Atomix, DVS unveils a new line of cutting-edge video boards. It not only has support for 4K resolution in real-time, but also includes full 4K processing in real-time. With the diversity and flexibility of its feature range, the powerful DVS hardware complements any software solution.
