The Final Cut Pro User Group Network has been producing the SuperMag as part of their worldwide SuperMeet series for several years. Now that NAB 2010 is behind us and the NAB SuperMeet is a memory they’ve just release the 4th edition of the SuperMag … for free. This one is huge. It’s currently available as a PDF and weighs in at nearly 50 MBs. That’s a massive 315 pages that you can download right to you desktop. Better than that I downloaded it right into GoodReader on my iPad as it makes the perfect SuperMag reading experience. They even say they are working on a standalone “SuperMag for iPad.” This will be fun to see when it’s complete. Check out the SuperMag homepage for a list of all the articles, including my piece on editing a Canon 5D mulitcam project. There’s great articles on everything production and post and it’s not limited to Final Cut Pro. Avid and Adobe users will find their products covered as well.
And if you missed the 2010 NAB SuperMeet it’s available too in streaming video format (register and you will be provided a link to the stream). With it you can see Adobe, Avid and Apple all take the stage, on the same night, one right after the other. That had to have been a first. Thanks to all those in the FCP User Group Network who have made these great resources available to all for free.
