Hackett brings knowledge of the entire post-production process
Continuing to build momentum under new company EP Betsy Beale, chrome has hired Editor Michael Hackett. With more than 15 years of commercial editorial experience, a vast knowledge of VFX and a strong background in photography, Hackett brings an extensive knowledge of the entire post-production process to chrome.
Aside from having developed several workflows for file-based projects, Hackett possesses a visual storytelling style that has led to collaborations with many of the powerhouses of the commercial, effects and feature world, including Olivier Gondry, Janusz Kaminski, Joe Pytka, Jesse Dylan, Pam Thomas, Ray Dillman, and Nick Piper, to name a few. He has worked with top ad agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi, The Martin Agency, JWT, Fallon, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, McCann Erickson, Doner, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
“Michael brings a tremendous resume to chrome, with well over a decade spent working with some of the best in the industry,” noted Beale. “It is not easy to find the perfect editor to augment your roster, both professionally and personally, but, with his great personality and outstanding visual/VFX reel is a natural fit for our team.”
Prior to joining chrome, Hackett did tours of duty at a number of LA’s top shops, including Filmcore LA, Brass Knuckles, Avenue Edit, Crush Editorial, and T-minus 30.
