Bicoastal international content creation studio hires award-winning commercial, music video and feature filmmaker

Bicoastal international content creation studio Crossroads Films has signed renowned commercial and feature filmmaker Vadim Perelman. The versatile talent, who has been making commercials for nearly two decades has earned awards and accolades for his work with brands such as GM, Microsoft, Kellogg’s, MasterCard, GMC, and Chevy to name a few. He has collaborated with a slew of major agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Element 79, Gotham, McCann Erickson, TBWAChiatDay and Deutsch among others.

Perelman is off to a rapid start at Crossroads, having already booked a pair of major projects that will shoot this month: a trailer for Ubisoft’s latest Ghost Recon video game via Dojo, and a four-spot campaign for Cox Communications via Doner.

"I’ve been a huge fan of Vadim’s film work and find his body of commercial work to be absolutely amazing," noted Crossroads Owner and President Cami Taylor. "To have someone like Vadim who is well versed in both short and long-form formats is core to our mission of working with well-rounded filmmakers. He’s a dynamic and impressive director, and we are delighted to be working with him."

Outside of advertising, Perelman’s work runs the spectrum from music videos to major studio- backed features. He has directed Grammy-winner Kelly Clarkson’s number-one hit Because of You, which garnered an MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video, and has directed two feature films: his award-winning debut House of Sand and Fog – which he also wrote – and the drama/thriller Life Before Her Eyes, starring Uma Thurman. He is currently working on The Song of Names, starring Anthony Hopkins and Dustin Hoffman. Before joining Crossroads, he spent several years directing spots via Tate USA. Prior to moving to the US, the Ukrainian-born Perelman launched Canned Films, a production and post company based in Toronto, where he created, animated, and edited numerous music videos and commercials.

"Joining Crossroads brings me back to my commercial roots with people who truly appreciate what I do and believe in my work," noted Perelman. "It’s important for me to have that creative energy. Signing on to Crossroads, with their full range of creative offerings, deep connections and extensive resources makes this an exciting opportunity. Their history and experience in all forms of entertainment, as well as Cami’s (Taylor) understanding of filmmakers, makes this partnership truly mutual."
