Latest offering of the company's pioneering audio storage device is now shipping
“Designed to address the storage challenges of today’s digital broadcast environments, the latest version of iTrax, like its predecessor, is great for any audio engineer working in content produced for TV or radio,” says Globalstor President Scott Leif. “In many facilities, there is no room for a fibre channel controller or similar device. With iTrax, the user simply plugs it into a network port or network switch, and has all the benefits of an additional hard drive without taking up space, including redundant data storage, something traditional FireWire solutions do not offer.”
With iTrax, broadcast professionals have centralized storage and retrieval of multiple sessions at their fingertips. In addition, users can remotely log into sessions from anywhere in the world using any Internet Protocol-based GUI.
This version of iTrax comprises a standalone tower with a handle, and includes five drives with optional RAID 5 redundancy. Storage capacity ranges from 2.5 TB to 10 TB (five-drive unit). Other iTrax servers are available in various configurations, ranging from an eight-drive solution with RAID protection on board to a 36-drive version with multiple levels of RAID redundancy on board.
The latest version of iTrax is available now through Globalstor Data authorized partners. To find an authorized partner in your area, visit www.globalstor.com. Prices start at $3,395 (MSRP) with 5TB of usable storage.
