Front Porch Digital, the global leader in solutions for migrating, managing, and monetizing media content, today announced that Avid has signed an agreement to sell Front Porch Digital solutions through Avid’s projects and professional services group in Europe. Avid EAME will sell the company’s DIVArchive content storage management (CSM) systems, which fully integrate with Avid Interplay Production, Interplay Media Asset Manager, and Avid Unity products. Avid EAME will also be able to resell the Front Porch Digital SAMMA product line.
The agreement reflects a longstanding collaborative relationship between Avid and Front Porch Digital, which already have more than 60 installations of their complementary systems deployed worldwide within the Interplay Production installed base of more than 700 sites.

“This agreement between Front Porch Digital and Avid is excellent news for customers because it provides enhanced assurance that their respective best-of-breed products – Avid’s Interplay Production and Interplay Media Asset Management systems and Front Porch’s CSM systems – will work together seamlessly and effectively,” said Mike Knaisch, Front Porch Digital president and CEO. “Also, Avid’s extensive sales and systems integration network will give many potential European customers expanded and improved access to the benefits of the world’s leading CSM systems.”

“Our collaboration with Front Porch Digital will help us better serve customers and open up new business opportunities,” said Neil Blake, Avid solutions development manager, EAME. “Our organization is looking forward to tapping the possibilities that will result from a closer relationship between Avid’s industry-leading Unity media storage and Interplay Production and Media Asset Management solutions and Front Porch Digital’s innovative and advanced products.”

The Avid/Front Porch Digital agreement comes on the heels of Front Porch Digital’s announcement that the latest version of its flagship product, DIVArchive V6.3, incorporates full integration with Interplay, making it even easier for users of Avid’s media asset management system to access content stored under DIVArchive management.
