As we reported last month, Vimeo will inaugurate its first-ever Festival + Awards on October 8 – 9 here in New York City. The program lineup, which will include workshops and panels led by well-known Vimeo heroes and other cultural trendsetters, was designed with the range of Vimeo users in mind. Workshops include an HD DSLR master class with Vincent Laforet and boot camps in Final Cut, After Effects, video remixing and more. Speakers will be led by the always unpredictable and hilarious Reggie Watts, who will give the festival’s opening remarks on Friday, October 8.

Screenings, workshops and keynotes (35 to choose from) will take place at Vimeo’s headquarters in the Gehry-designed IAC Building, the School of Visual Arts Theatre on West 23rd and at Drive In Studios on West 18th Street.
