Shooters Post & Transfer, the full-service creative post house, has just added Smoke/Flame Artist Mark Longchamps to its creative team. Longchamps brings more than 15 years of editorial and broadcast design skills as well as feature film experience to Shooters’ lineup.
Longchamps has worked on a variety of vehicles, from broadcast spots and promos to long-form programs to feature films and documentaries. His credits include broadcast spots for Dunkin’ Donuts, Macy’s, ESPN, Fidelity Investments, CBS, HBO, Comedy Central and PBS to name a few, as well as nationwide political spots.

A graduate of Seton Hall University, Longchamps has most recently worked with Point.360 as Senior Smoke Artist. He has also worked as a Smoke Artist for WBZ-TV in Boston, and as an editor on projects for USA Networks and National Video Center.

Longchamps’ extensive understanding of broadcast programming and promotions earned him 24 Emmy Award nominations for his work with WBZ-TV, as well as two Promax Awards and one Broadcast Design Association Award (BDA) for his editorial work with USA Networks’ SyFy Channel. His programming expertise includes 3D work on “Tyrannosaurus Sex” for the Discovery Channel and finishing on the eight-part series “Battles B.C.” for the History Channel.

Longchamps design talent can be seen on the Emmy-nominated broadcast documentaries for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops.

Longchamps’ talent extends to the independent feature film “Lbs.” which was nominated for the Alfred P. Sloan Award at the Sundance Film Festival and which received the award for Best Feature Film at the Deep Ellum Film Festival and Avignon/New York Film Festival.

“Not only does Shooters have a broad diversity of work- broadcast, film and content- that I can contribute my skills to,” says Longchamps. “But they also have the infrastructure and the talent to back it all up.”

“Mark’s creative abilities fit into our talent-driven approach for all phases of post,” says Shooters President Ray Carballada. “He has experience working on all types of content: broadcast spots, film, and TV programming, which will prove to be a real asset for our clients.”
