Two of the directors at The LipSync Group have completed a management buyout of the company, taking full shareholdings from the company’s founder, Jon Diamond. The deal was a mutual and amicable decision. Peter Hampden, who formed the company with Diamond in 1986, takes on the role of Managing Director, while Norman Merry remains in the role of Finance Director.
Diamond is leaving the company to pursue his interests in production. He commented, “It’s time I returned to my roots in the creative arena. I am leaving with a lot of fond memories and a real sense of achievement, having built – together with my fellow directors – a robust and innovative company with extremely talented staff. I know the company is in safe hands as it continues its trajectory as one of London’s largest and most successful independent post production facilities.”

Peter Hampden, Managing Director, LipSync, said, “Jon has been inspirational over the past 24 years and we thank him for all his efforts in bringing LipSync to where it is today. As we open a new chapter in LipSync’s history, we are in a terrific position to move onwards and upwards in both post and production.”

Norman Merry, Finance Director, added, “We have plans to expand the business, and we are ready to take on the challenges of the future.”

LipSync’s recent credits include Made in Dagenham, Nowhere Boy and The Arbor, and is currently working on projects including Coriolanus, Jane Eyre and My Week With Marilyn.

Diamond takes up a position as Non Executive chairman in an advisory capacity for The LipSync Group, whilst pursuing his new interests with his new company, Box Clever TV Ltd, which is producing a series for Channel 5. He also plans to pursue opportunities in the music industry, which is where LipSync started.
