December 9, Santa Clara, CA ‘ Assimilate, a leading provider of powerful post-production tools for digital workflows, announced today the appointment of Miguel Ferros to director of product management. Ferros has been at the forefront of high-end workflows for broadcast and entertainment for over 20 years and has held product management and marketing roles at Avid, Codex Digital, and 5D Solutions.
One of the first editors to switch to NLEs in the UK, Ferros gained experience as a compositor before moving into technology development. Ferros pioneered Digital Intermediate (DI) workflows in stints at Avid as European Market Manager for Post, and Codex Digital, prior to returning full-time to production as a Director of Digital Film and Post, a company specializing in data-centric workflows.
