RevUp Render Unveils New High-Performance Cloud Computing Workstation and Rendering Technology at Autodesk University 2010
RevUp RealityServer is designed to complement RevUp Render VCS and is the first mental images iRay GPU-based supercomputing render platform created for Autodesk Revit software. With RevUp RealityServer, renders can be distributed and processed across the newly announced GPU clusters found on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which is designed for use with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) inexpensive and scalable computing platform. RevUp Render is also collaborating with miGenius, Ltd. for the development of the RevUp RealityServer product. miGenius technology features customizable interfaces, unrestricted camera controls, and unlimited simultaneous users, allowing users to quickly and easily share highly detailed photorealistic 3D models and environments in real time.
Also at Autodesk University, RevUp Render and Axceleon, creators of EnFuzion and CloudFuzion advanced distributive computing software will be previewing RevUp CloudFuzion software, which allows production studios to automate rendering projects across the Amazon Web Services massive bank of servers. Initially RevUp CloudFuzion will use mental ray Linux instances as the rendering platform on Amazon’s EC2. Mental images mental ray software is the preferred renderer for many 3D modeling software companies including Autodesk.
“We are very excited to be working with the RevUp Render team to provide rendering services on Amazon’s EC2 platform,” says Mary Keogh, CEO of Axceleon. “Our company has been working with the cloud for several years and our compute and render farms on Amazon’s EC2 are secure, scalable, cost-effective and capable of running very large workloads and heavy scenes with ease. It is a logical choice for Axceleon to team up with RevUp Render to promote its automated RevUp CloudFuzion solution at Autodesk University.”
