On the Paramount Studios lot, the best of mobile was honored at the third annual Mobile Excellence Awards, produced by Little Monster Media Productions. Among the highlights was a presentation by Emmy-winning producer Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes about his transmedia project, Conspiracy for Good. Also keynoting was Johann Jungwirth, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc.
Among the entertainment industry presenters were Joerg Bachmaier, SVP/GM Americas, Endemol Worldwide Brands; Francisco Varela, Head of Strategic Alliances, YouTube; Mark Deetjen, Vice President Programming, Sony Movie Channel; Doug Scott, CEO, Ogilvy Entertainment; John P. Roberts, SVP of Digital Content & Cross-platform Entertainment, The Hub; John Rubey, President, AEG Network LIVE; Todd Harrison, VP Mobile, Trailer Park; Lori Schwartz, Chief Technology Catalyst, McCann Worldgroup, North America; Chris Allen, CEO, Napster; and former NBC Apprentice winner Ted Shelton, CEO, Open-First.

Added Mobile Excellence Awards executive director Allison Dollar, who is also CEO of the Interactive TV Alliance, “This year’s entries were extremely impressive. They demonstrate a range of innovation and depth of creativity that prove just how fast and how far mobile has come. Mobile is now an essential component of entertainment and marketing. And our industries are the better for it.”
