Company Commits Monetary and In-kind Donations to Aid Recovery in Northeast Japan

Osaka, Japan – March 12, 2011 – Panasonic Corporation announced today that the company will donate 300 million yen and necessary supplies, including 10 thousand radios, 10 thousand lamps and 500 thousand batteries, to support the swift recovery of the northeast area of Japan affected by the strong earthquake on March 11.
Due to large electricity shortages, Panasonic Group is also calling out to save electricity and will start by turning off outdoor signage and refraining from using electricity at all applicable facilities.

Panasonic Group and its employees express deep condolences for victims of the earthquake and sincerely hope for swift recovery of the people and areas affected by the disaster.
